Vertical lighting solution for a new culture centre
“La Grande Passerelle”
Location: Saint-Malo/France
Products: Modules LLE advanced
Thanks to their high luminous flux, LED modules from Tridonic provide ideal general illumination for the large media library in the new culture centre in Saint-Malo and also contribute to the beacon-like quality of the building at night.
50 percent higher luminous flux
In keeping with the architectural concept, L'agence de conception lumière 8'18'', the lighting designers, created lines of light integrated in all the wooden pillars that give the glass facade its structure. This avoided the technical and physical presence of a ceiling lighting system, which would have been visible from outside. The vertical lighting solution is given structure by wooden slats arranged horizontally. The spacing and angle of these slats very according to the height of the room. Compared to T5 luminaires, the LED solution offers lower maintenance costs and 50 percent higher luminous flux for the same energy consumption.
Integrated solution with a guarantee
The luminaire manufacturer Sécante decided to work with Tridonic because we were able to react swiftly to customer-specific requirements and offer a five-year guarantee on the integrated solution. The high luminous flux values are produced by LLE modules. These highly efficient LED modules offer high colour rendering, narrow colour tolerance, perfectly homogenous light when arranged together, and a long life of 50,000 hours. They are operated by LCI TOP LED Drivers.
