Smart and adaptive lighting for Darmstadt

Darmstadt is becoming a smart city. As part of the “Digital City Darmstadt” project, the city is pushing ahead with its digital expansion in a number of subprojects. Smart lighting has been installed on a road and footpath in the district of Wixhausen. A total of 13 intelligent LED street lamps provide illumination and a sense of security. Presence control is used to adjust the brightness, save energy and protect the environment from light pollution.
