Tridonic's warehouse team and distribution services continue to grow
1,500 orders dispatched each week
Dornbirn, March 13, 2018 – Tridonic has responded to increasing orders and the demand for faster delivery times by expanding the team at its UK warehouse. The 10,000 sq ft warehouse, located in Basingstoke, Hampshire, has 1,500 bays and ensures that the company can supply its customers with the over 90 percent of its lighting component products from stock.
Steve Whyman, local supply chain manager, explained more about the operation; “We are handling on average 150 pallets goods-in and picking and despatching over 1,500 order lines a week. We are one of the few lighting component manufacturers in the country to carry such high levels of stock and we know that availability and prompt delivery counts for a lot with our customers.” In addition to their own delivery service, which allows them to ship anything from one piece to a full articulated load anywhere in the UK, Tridonic also utilises a range of flexible delivery services and road freight options for urgent requirements.
Among the thousands of products housed at the warehouse are everything from linear accessories such as ACL Clips with 20,000 per carton, to DALI TOUCHPANEL for controlling multiple luminaire Groups and calling up pre-set lighting scenes. This is alongside supplies of the company's recently launched and award winning EM ready2apply emergency light.
